31 Children's Books Inspired by Artists

I L-O-V-E Children's books! In fact, I use them all the time as a starting point when I make lesson plans for my elementary art students. It's a simple way to incorporate reading/literature and art.

If you don't already have a library card go fill out a form and getcha one! The library is (mostly) FREE- Just don't lose the books in the bog we know as the top bunk mattress and couch cushions- the fine's add up quick! You can check out all these wonderful books out without spending a dime.

Please don't let visual arts intimidate you. Have you convince yourself that YOU aren't artistic, that YOU can't paint, that YOU can't draw, that YOU can't yada, yada, believe me-I have heard it all! YOU are creative and that's all that really matters. YOU can and YOU will for the sake of your kids, right? They think you are awesome even if you don't!

Drip some paint like Jackson Pollock or create a collage like Matisse. It's time to get creative and let your inner artist out! Join Take heART for the 31 days of  March Masters challenge. One artist every day in the month of March! Check back for lesson plans for each artist. #marchmasters
